Heat Exchangers
Heat exchangers may have the following industrial applications:
Fluid Cooling and Heating Coils
Advantages:
- higher performance
- lower airside pressure drop
- lower airside fouling
- design flexibility
Compressor Intercoolers and Aftercoolers
Advantages:
- High efficiency surfaces
- Low gas pressure drop
- designed to fit any housing
Gas Turbine Inlet Air Chilling
Advantages:
- Flat fins can be used in the cases, where cleanability is desirable, or if fins are in the horizontal position in condensing.
- Configured fins offer improved heat transfer performance with low Reynolds Numbers, but with an increase in pressure drop
Exhaust Gas Waste Heat Recovery
Advantages:
- These are light weight with compact designs, which enables easy placement
- Compact design requires 25% of the volume of conventional units
- Heat exchangers with stainless steel coils are suitable for more robust services
Food Dryer and Cooling Coils
Heat exchangers can be used for multicircuiting of fluid passes to ensure optimum heat transfer performance with low liquid flow rates. Heat exchangers have various sanitary, and food processing applications.
Advantages:
- Specifically designed for cleanliness and sanitary applications
